Movia – Exto Gredič 2018

Attractive floral and aromatic nose, slight nuttiness. Good weight, medium bodied with a nice creamy and very delicately honeyed texture. A good expression of the grape variety, with plenty of character. Green melon, unripe plum, slight hint of wax.

Movia – Rebula White Label 2017

Creamy on the nose, whitecurrant aromas and some fresh herbs, with smooth, refined tannins and electrifying acidity. Given the very long skin contact (51 days), this is still fairly simple and youthful at the moment. But it certainly has what Read more

Movia – Chardonnay 2016

Expressive nose full of wild pineapple, also some oak evident on the nose. Great acids, hint of smoked honey. Tiny bit of oxidation on the finish. Sexy texture but I’m surprised the oak hasn’t completely integrated.

Movia – Sivi Pinot Ambra 2017

Ramato style. Wiry redcurrant aromas, light texture, somehow not entirely fresh on the finish. The alcohol sticks out a bit. Acidity is nice but the fruit is a bit thin. 10 days s/c, free run juice only.

Movia – Veliko Belo 2012

Beautifully creamy texture, very harmonious, with honeyed fruit and impressive youthfulness. The maturation is subtle and just lends harmony. Citrus, pear and yellow plum fruit with very subtle herbal notes. This is in a good place right now. The Sauvignon Read more

Movia – Lunar 2014

Tangy lemon peel, appealingly wild. Super fresh and lively, with ripe citrus fruits. Slightly funky and yeasty on the finish. Impressively fresh and youthful. Some sage. Overall, surprisingly gentle and subtle, showing Rebula’s citrussy, herbal character very nicely. Very soft Read more

Meinklang – Weißer Mulatschak 2019

Slightly gluey nose with some attractive elderflower aromas and a bit of spritz, but then wild plums, whitecurrants and fresh herbs. Full of fruit and character, really lively acidity, and then drops away to a slightly vegetal nose. Fine tannins Read more

Meinklang – Roter Mulatschak 2018

This is the partner to Meinklang’s new lightweight orange Mulatschak, made in a similarly easygoing style to drink young. The fruit is co-fermented and whole bunch pressed. Bottled with very minimal sulphites (24mg/L total). Tight and enjoyably slightly green but Read more
