A buttery, candied note suggests that some new oak was involved in this wine. It distracts quite considerably from the mineral, citrussy freshness which I hope and lust for in Riesling Heiligenstein. This is not a successful expression of the Read more
Loads of tropical fruit – mango, honeydew melon, guava – in this ripe Riesling, which does not seem that typical of the vineyard. That said, the finish is refined, with a crisp steeliness that adds some freshness and excitement to Read more
Broad and fruit-driven, with some tight citrus notes but also some ripe pear and quite leesy texture. While this initially feels like it’s going to be very big and ripe, it shows itself to have rather racy acidity and long Read more
