A tight crunchy Blaufrankish, loaded with red cherries, umeboshi plum and hints of roasted twigs and woodsmoke. Energetic and vital, the wine explodes with acidity and freshness.
I’m a big fan of the fruit purity here, there are no distrations, just a perfect opportunity to focus on the grape variety and what it can do on the hills of Leithaberg.
It just needs to be said that those tannins are quite spiky right now. I’d cellar this for another 2-3 years.
