Fritsch – Roter Veltliner Ried Steinberg Erste Lage 2020

Typically for Fritsch, this is a featherlight, elegant reading of a grape that can sometimes be quite opulent in its fruit character.
Here there are notes of preserved peach slices (a balsamic tinge) and even sharon fruit (kaki), with a diverting aromatic or floral character – a hint of roses.
In terms of concentration and body, the wine is surprisingly persistent given its modest ripeness level.
