An entrancing wine, for its tight, sculpted sour cherry fruit, but also for the wonderfully pithy, nutty tannins. There is no shortage of structure here, but the texture is fine and crystalline. The nose shows crushed berries, graphite and a hint of blood and essential oils.
The deftness and elegance of this wine is quite wonderful. It’s drinking very nicely now, but has loads more to deliver over the next 5+ years.
