Wiry and a little volatile, this atypical Blaufränkisch is dominated by elderberry and blackcurrant. It’s fresh and lively, with a good fruit focus and fairly soft and accessible tannins. Certainly characterful, it’s interesting to compare with its peers in this vineyard, all of which display a much more spicy, peppery character.
