Jurtschitsch – Grüner Veltliner Ried Dechant Erste Lage 2020

At first sniff, you might think this Grüner is going to play it pretty straight. There’s some pithy capsicum, a bit of fresh apricot and pear.
But what surprises is the delicate saltiness and fine texture that unfolds to a very long finish. The freshness and pose is impressive, and as ever with this exceptional estate, the ripeness level is perfectly judged to be light but beautifully balanced.
