Quite lean for Grüner, this has ripe apricot and peach fruit on the attack, but then heads off in a more mineral, salty direction. The nose also shows some balsamic peach fruit. On the finish, this wine feels quite austere, but that apricot hit at the start really sustains it. A curious wine that isn’t quite as harmonious as some of the other Erste Lagen from this top producer.
