Full of baked fruit, papaya, baked plum and roasted herbs, with a gorgeously pungent nose that also suggests raisins and hot stone. Seriously chunky, drying tannins dominate the finish. It’s dusty and earthy, but there is enough fruit and body to support it. Could do with another year or two but there’s loads of potential here. An ass-kicking, no surrender qvevri style.
