First impressions on the nose of this Chardonnay are an unwelcome aroma of old barrels and a smidge of oxidation. However things improve considerably on the palate, with a leesy, generous texture and ripe, appley fruit. Some christmas spices and delicate acidity liven up the finish too.
This is definitely a style that’s heavily oak influenced, but it’s enjoyable to drink at the moment.
