Burgundian nose with that wonderful combination of gunflint and a hint of chamomile or cottonwool – a young, reductive yet characterful Chardonnay. Quite lifted and mineral on the attack, with spicy orchard fruit. Only a slightly sweet finish (hint of residual) distracts a little.
