The nose of this wine almost transported me to another greaty schisty terroir – the Douro valley. It has that entrancing floral note of violets, plus an inviting note of green peppercorns. Sour cherry greets you on the palate, and ushers in a tight, acidic wine that is also pretty grippy at the moment.
The length and energy suggest that this demands a few years ageing to come together.
