A ripe style of Morillon which is still a little marked by oak. It shows ripe apricot and peach, with some wood shavings. The acidity is bright and the concentration is good. Texturally, the wine also feels quite rich.
If only the oak would recede a bit – it gives a slightly unwelcome sweet note to the wine right now – there could be greatness here.
