This is a special cuvée, made to celebrate the winery’s first year of production. Here the skin contact was extended, and the blend is just Vitovska and Malvasia Istriana – again fermented in stone vats. It’s weightier and more harmonious on the palate than the regular “Marmor” blend, with green plum, nice mineral notes and fine but assertive tannins.
A bit closed on the nose, it feels like it needs another year or so to get going. Real potential here though.
