Quite rich and limey on the nose, this 2019 has rounded out nicely, showing a full but fresh expression of Heiligenstein that has hints of smoked honey, sharp citrus zest and mineral salts on the finish.
It’s all deliciously tangy, and also with a whisp of sweetness on the finish.
This isn’t the most refined or elegant Heiligenstein I’ve ever tasted from Gobelsburg. But it is, as ever, very very good.
