I last tasted this wine two years ago, and it is developing in a very interesting direction.
Blackcurrant is the primary fruit for me in Blatina, and whilst I prefer it unadorned by oak, the regime here has been fairly gentle.
The fresh acidity of this example, with a light tannic crunch and subtle hints of evolution start to remind me of the way that left-bank Bordeaux develops.
That said, there is a bit of a hole in the mid-palate that has widened a bit since the wine was released. This makes me think that Blatina made in this style is not for the long-haul.
