Somehow when a wine is called something like “Excalibur” or “Titan”, one knows it is going to be smothered in new oak. And that is more or less the case here. That said, the fruit feels juicy and there are good fruit acids. But overall the cinnamon and spice notes dominant and distract from the fruit.
This has been well done, and it will have its fans. But I am not one of them.
