Love it or hate it, this is Thom Wachter’s trademark style (for the record, I love it), showing a perfumed, floral nose filled with cassis and fresh herbs. The palate has a wonderful lightness of touch, with delicate fruit and loads of acidity. Cranberry and red cherry fruit dominate, rounded out with a panoply of fresh herbs and earth.
Such an elegant style, which to me feels like it allows the soils and the minerals to speak almost as loud as the fruit. Glorious.
