Restrained but subtly perfumed nose – cassis and a hint of haybales. Wonderful acids, given that these are predominantly clay soils this is incredibly taut and nervy. Blaufränkisch’s sour crunch is shown off to the max, and the structure is fine yet grippy. This style is uncompromising and utterly typical of the variety and the terroir.
