Savoury and crystalline, with tight redcurrant fruit. Slightly muted by oak, however the acidity and the nutty tannins provide an attractive finish. The nose is also rather bready and oak-influenced at the moment. There’s a potentially good wine in here somewhere, if the wood recedes.
