This is Weissburgunder made with a hefty nod to Burgundy – in other words, a hefty chunk of oak ageing. But it’s been rather well done, fleshing out the wine and giving it a luxuriant, creamy texture. There’s quite lifted acidity and a subtle tanginess to the finish. A nicely balanced ripe style with plenty of interest and also good potential for ageing.
