How do you feel about making natural wines in regions where it's impossible to grow vines without irrigation? Seems contradictive.. curious what you think of it!
Hi Bas, I don't think it's ideal and I hope that with more experience and older vines, Chinese growers will start exploring how to wean their vines off irrigation. if it's possible in drought-ridden South Africa I'm sure it's possible in China.
But wine growing is a much more modern thing here, and it's started in a lot of desert regions such as Ningxia. So it's going to take time.....
Thats an interesting perspective, good farming needs time and experience, and people who take the first step. Interesting to see where it will be in 10/20 years!

As it is to make it in Bulgaria...
Surely there must be some dry farmed vines in Bulgaria?
